A dashboard header that holds only your account

A dashboard header that holds only your account

The CallPages dashboard header now holds only account-level items. Calendar and Appointments shortcuts left the header for their own tabs; one dropdown in the top-right carries account, plan, and sign-out — and the plan label reads your real plan state instead of always claiming a preview.

The header had become a junk drawer: feature links competing with account items in the one strip of the dashboard that should answer a single question — whose account is this, and how do I manage it? Worse, its plan pill always rendered the same ‘Preview / Billing soon’ text, because the data behind it never reached the page. It wasn’t just clutter; it was clutter that lied.

One strip, one job

Interface rules earn their keep when they’re absolute. Ours is: the header is account territory. The moment a feature link moves in ‘just this once’, the strip stops being scannable — owners start reading instead of glancing. The de-clutter restores the glance: name, plan, menu. Everything else is one tab away, in the place its name promises.

The pill that cried preview

The plan label bug is the kind that erodes trust quietly: it said ‘Preview’ to everyone, including paying owners, because two fields were dropped between the API and the page. The fix is one line of plumbing and one honest render — but it mattered enough to ship in the same change: a header that holds only the account should at least describe the account correctly.

How it works

  1. The top-right now holds exactly one account dropdown: your account, your plan, and sign-out. Nothing else lives in the header.
  2. Features live in their tabs: Calendar and Appointments are reached from the dashboard’s own navigation, where owners look for them — the header no longer duplicates them.
  3. The plan pill is truthful: the dashboard bootstrap now carries the account’s real plan state, so the label shows the plan you actually have.
  4. The wider cleanup from this release wave stands behind it: the legacy Analytics tab is gone, Insights carries the Analytics name, Calendar and Appointments share one surface, and Activity is the first tab an owner lands on.
