2026.10.17 — Collections with their own URLs, a guide agent that knows every member, and calls that diagnose themselves

What’s new in 2026.10.17
“Can I talk to the owner?” — now the phone can ring

When a caller asks for the owner, the agent can now ring the owner right in their browser — free — and answer there. If a business hasn’t enabled owner calls, the agent says so honestly and invites the customer to ask.
A dashboard header that holds only your account

The dashboard’s top bar was de-cluttered: feature shortcuts moved into their own tabs where they belong, and the top-right now holds a single account menu. As a bonus, the plan pill finally tells the truth about your plan.
Add a product by pasting its link

Owners can now create a product by pasting a link to it anywhere on the web — CallPages reads the source page and drafts the product with its image, description, and price, ready for a one-tap confirm.
Android v1.5.1: a front screen that earns its place

The CallPages Android app’s new release leads with a redesigned, futuristic front screen and one-tap Share for growing a page — verified byte-for-byte on the production download surface. Customer sign-in arrives next, in v1.5.2.
Appointments that follow up by themselves

Booked appointments now manage themselves: a reminder two hours before, confirmation required one hour before, and a private manage page per appointment where the customer can confirm, cancel, or reschedule.
Collections get their own URLs — and their own place in search

Every collection on a CallPages page now lives at its own address — /p/<page>/c/<collection> — with its own title, description, canonical URL, structured data, and a spot in the page sitemap.
Every call attempt now leaves a diagnosis

Failed calls used to vanish into a two-word error. Now every attempt records a full diagnostic bundle — browser, network, microphone, timing — in a new Diagnostics section, with failures clustered into a readable funnel.
Every page gets its own name for the web — subdomains are coming

Pages gain their own subdomain address (yourpage.callpages.me) alongside /p/yourpage; owners can edit their handle, and pages sharing a display name stay distinct. Code ships now; addresses switch on as DNS completes.
Guide agents now know every member of their guide

A city guide’s voice agent now carries a complete digest of every member business — names, areas, categories, signature items with real prices, hours and phones — and never claims not to know a business its own guide lists.
New tenant website: Ferretería Ramón goes live

Ferretería Ramón, a San Juan hardware store on CallPages, now has its full website: ten authored pages in Spanish and English — departments, a buying guide, how it works, and an FAQ — built entirely from the store’s own catalog facts.
No microphone? The call still starts

A caller is never blocked for lacking a microphone again. Calls begin in listen-only mode — the agent speaks first, teaches the setup in about fifteen seconds with illustrated steps, and a retry button attaches the mic to the live call.
No product left imageless: the nightly image sweep

Products without photos make a shop look abandoned. A nightly sweep now finds every imageless product on CallPages and generates a styled illustration for it — and owners get a one-tap ‘generate missing images’ button too.
Product pages now answer themselves in Google AI Mode

Every product page can end with a questions section — real questions about that product, each one a tap away from asking Google AI Mode, which answers from the product’s own published facts.
Sign in once with Google — then it’s a CallPages session

Google now verifies who you are exactly once. From that moment, CallPages issues and trusts its own session on web and Android — a Google hiccup can never log you out again.
The call that lets customers keep shopping

During a CallPages call, customers can tap any product and keep browsing the store — inside the call. The voice agent sees what they’re looking at in real time and advises on the item in front of them.
The Quality Standard is now part of the product
CallPages’ engineering rules — instrument first, errors become bugs automatically, test-first fixes, verify on the real surface — are now a written standard in the repo, gating every pull request.
Fix: very large pages now finish translating
Translation jobs could stall forever on the largest pages: one oversized item failed every retry and blocked the whole job at 64 of 65 items. Items are now split to size, so big pages translate to completion in every enabled language.
