En qué consiste
Taking the bus is a daily experience for millions of people around the world, and it is one of the best ways to observe real life in a city. On the bus you see students with heavy backpacks, elderly people with shopping bags, workers in uniforms, mothers with babies, and tourists looking at maps on their phones. Some people love public transportation because it is cheap and practical. Others find it slow, crowded, and uncomfortable. My own relationship with the bus is a mixture of gratitude, patience, and good stories. I take the bus several times a week, especially to go to the center of San Juan, to medical appointments, and to visit places where parking is expensive or impossible to find. In Puerto Rico, many families have cars and public transportation is not as extensive as in huge cities like New York or London, but buses and the Tren Urbano, our urban train in the metropolitan area, are still essential for thousands of people every day. Let's talk — 10 questions to discuss with your voice tutor: 1. How do you usually travel to work, school, or appointments — by bus, car, train, or on foot? 2. How long does your typical bus journey take, and what is the route like? 3. What do you like most and least about taking the bus? 4. What do you usually do during a bus ride — read, listen to music, sleep, or talk? 5. How much does the bus cost in your city? Do you think it is expensive or cheap? 6. Can you describe an interesting or funny experience you had on public transportation? 7. What rules of courtesy should passengers follow on a bus? 8. How does rush hour or rainy weather change the bus experience? 9. Why is public transportation important for a city and for the environment? 10. If you could improve the bus service in your city, what three things would you change? 📖 La lectura completa llegará en una actualización (la plataforma ahora limita el texto por lección).
