How Voice Calling Works
For Page Owners
What is Voice Calling?
Voice calling lets customers tap a Call Now button on your page and speak directly with you or your AI voice agent. It works in any modern browser — no app download required.
How It Works (Technical Overview)
- Customer taps Call Now on your page
- Browser requests microphone permission
- WebRTC establishes a peer-to-peer audio connection
- You receive an instant notification
- You answer, or the AI agent handles the call
- The conversation is transcribed automatically
Setting Up Voice Calling
Voice calling works out of the box. No configuration needed. Just ensure:
- Your notification settings are enabled (to receive call alerts)
- Your AI voice agent is configured (optional, for after-hours)
Receiving Calls
When a customer calls:
- You'll see an incoming call notification
- Tap Answer to speak live
- Or tap Let AI Handle for automated responses
- After the call, review the transcript in Dashboard → Calls
For Customers
Making a Call
- Open the business's CallPages page
- Tap the Call Now button (usually at the top or bottom)
- Allow microphone access when prompted
- Speak naturally — ask about products, prices, availability
What to Expect
- The business owner or AI agent will greet you
- Ask specific questions: "Do you have this in blue?" "What's your delivery time?"
- The call is voice-only (no video)
- You can end the call anytime by tapping the red button
Tips for Customers
- Be specific: Mention the product name you saw on the page
- Check the time: Businesses may not answer late at night (AI can help)
- No app needed: Works directly in Chrome, Safari, or Firefox
