On CallPages, an appointment can only be booked during a live call, with the voice agent, in context — one per call, enforced by the call session itself. The old public booking form is removed: no call, no booking, and no way for strangers to flood a business with fake appointments.
The appointment tab let anyone with the link book the business's calendar — no call, no conversation, no confirmed phone number, as many times as they liked. That is not a booking system; it is a spam and security hole pointed at a small business's schedule, and it filled calendars with appointments nobody ever made.
A booking is the end of a conversation, not a form
Real appointments in a small business are almost never cold. Somebody asks about a product, hears the options, picks a size — and then says "can I come Thursday?" The booking belongs to that moment. Moving it inside the call does not just close a security hole; it puts scheduling where it always actually happened.
What strangers can no longer do
They can no longer book at all. Without a live call there is no path to the calendar — no form to script against, no unconfirmed phone numbers, no unlimited repeat bookings. The calendar fills only with people a business has actually spoken to, one conversation at a time.
How it works
- Booking exists only inside a live, ongoing call: the voice agent offers times in the flow of the conversation it is already having, about the product the customer is actually discussing.
- One appointment per call, enforced on the server through the call session — not by hiding a button, but by the session itself refusing a second booking.
- The standalone public booking surface is removed: appointment slots answer 403 and a booking attempt without a live call is refused as call-required.
- A call that starts on a product page stays on that page: the call button becomes the full call interface in place, every product-page button — including the way back to the store — stays available during the call.
