At the Supermarket

0

Going to the supermarket is one of those ordinary activities that we do every week without thinking very much about it, but it is actually full of interesting details, decisions, and vocabulary. We choose food for our families, we compare prices, we read labels, we talk to employees, and we try to remember everything we need before we return home. A trip to the supermarket can be quick and efficient, or it can become a long, expensive adventure if we arrive hungry and without a list. I usually go to the supermarket once a week, on Saturday morning, and I do a smaller shopping trip in the middle of the week for fresh things like milk, bread, fruit, and vegetables. Before I leave home, I always prepare a shopping list. First, I open the refrigerator and check what is missing. Then I look in the pantry, where we keep rice, beans, pasta, flour, oil, and canned food. Finally, I check the bathroom and the cleaning supplies: do we need soap, shampoo, toothpaste, detergent, or toilet paper? Let's talk — 10 questions to discuss with your voice tutor: 1.
