Editing a website page in CallPages is now what-you-see-is-what-you-get: the editor renders your blocks exactly as the published page renders them, clicking a block edits it in place, and a + divider between blocks inserts any of six block types. The document model round-trips losslessly, so hand-written pages keep every byte.
The Website Studio gave owners their site's pages block by block, but the blocks still edited like a form: fields and Markdown on one side, the real page somewhere else. Owners had to imagine the result, and every check meant a preview round-trip. A website editor should show the website.
The editor shows the website, not a form
Every website editor makes a promise — "what you see is what you get" — and most break it in the small print: the canvas is a rough sketch, the real page lives somewhere else, and the owner shuttles between edit and preview until the two agree. The friendly editor keeps the promise literally. The blocks on the editing canvas are rendered by the same code path that renders the public page, so there is nothing to shuttle between: the page you are touching is the page your visitors get.
Built on a model that cannot eat your content
Visual editors have a reputation for mangling what they open. This one is built the other way around: before any pixels were drawn, the document model — parse a page into blocks, serialize the blocks back into a page — was pinned by tests that demand a byte-identical round-trip. A hand-written Markdown block stays verbatim; a block the editor doesn't recognize is preserved, never dropped. The friendly surface is an addition on top of that guarantee, not a replacement for the content underneath.
One editor, from the same line as the Studio and the Store
The friendly editor completes the Studio the same way the Studio completed the Store editor: owner-operated, phone-first, autosaved, no Save button, no pop-up dialogs. Create a page from a template, tap through its blocks as your visitors will see them, add what's missing from the + divider, and publish — the whole life of a page, in one place, in the owner's hands.

How it works
- What you see is the page: blocks in the editor render with the same markup and styling the public site serves, so the editing canvas and the published page are the same thing, not an approximation.
- Click to edit in place: tapping any block opens its editing controls right inside the rendered block — text, images, galleries, lists, call-to-action and section blocks — without leaving the page view or opening a dialog.
- A + divider lives between every pair of blocks: tap it and a picker offers the six block types; the new block lands exactly where you tapped, already rendered as it will publish.
- Lossless by construction: the editor's document model parses a page into blocks and serializes it back byte-for-byte (pinned by round-trip tests), so a page that was written by hand — Markdown and all — survives friendly editing untouched outside the block you changed.
- Images stay one tap away: product and site images flow through the smart free-provider chain managed in the dashboard's Images tab, with per-provider on/off switches that take effect immediately.
